Story of the pavilion

This summer you can relax at Hotel Fabian's summer oasis. Enjoy a glass of rose and unwind in the sun or under the Shade 2.0 pavilion, by Trash Design.

World Design Capital 2012 Pavilion was a wooden structure, that served as a outdoor living room for 105 summer days between Design Museum and Museum of Finnish Architecture. Pavilion was designed by a group of architecture students from Aalto University.

After been pulled down it moved to Trash Factory and was used as rawmaterial in several Trash Design projects. In the exhibition ”Trash Goes Architecture” in 2013 this material served as ”Green Shade”. It was designed by Iranian architect Shamae Shadeh from Tsinghua University, Beijing. Shade 2.0 was erected as a part of Habitare 2017, No Trash! –exhibition in September 13-17 All materials are 100% recycled from earlier Trash Design –projects.
